If you missed last year’s packed out demo, be sure to make an early reservation for this Lecture/Demonstration! Be ready to absorb a ton of valuable information in this fun, fast-paced, technically informative event, guiding you through the basics while opening up new possibilities for artists of all levels. Find out what's up with all those gels and mediums, and discover surfaces for drawing and painting that you didn't think possible. The demo also includes tips and info about pigments, blending and glazing, controlling the drying time, mixed media, archival practices, varnishing, and lots more. You'll see examples of many materials put to use, and get your questions answered by an experienced artist with an intimate knowledge of GOLDEN acrylics.
Infinitely versatile acrylics applications from traditional to contemporary, mixed media, collage, drawing and paintings will be covered.
Artists of all levels will come away from this lecture demo with fresh new insights to feed their creative expression.
All participants will receive free product samples and a literature packet, including hand-painted color charts.

HANDS ON Digital Transfer WORKSHOP

The Digital Lab is a safe zone for testing the latest in GOLDEN digital print technology. Learn all about Golden Digital Grounds for porous and non-porous surfaces in this experimental hands-on workshop led by artist Adriana Yadira Gallego. Discover how to transform unusual surfaces like acrylic skins, aluminum foil and cheese-cloth into ink-jet printable media. Experiment with a variety of acrylic paints, gels, and mediums to glaze, draw, overpaint, collage and pour over the digital images. Participants will be guided through the process of applying digital grounds; printing; employing reductive and additive techniques; sealing and protecting the digital images. No experience necessary; all levels of curiosity welcome. All participants will walk away with a GOLDEN gift bag and a sense of wonder. GOLDEN Artist Colors will supply the paints, grounds, gels, top coats and mediums. Participants should bring bag lunch.
